Surly this needs to be deleted. Never discuss religion or politics with your friends and you will stay friends. That's what my gramps told me and I agree with him

Have to agree with Stu, this is a car forum, no place for anything as divisive as politics, religion or peoples beliefs......arguments will follow!

Religion is a form of control.

Exactly that. Religious differences cause pretty much most, if not all, of the wars/fighting currently being waged around the world. What a crock.

Not sure what good this thread will do. I have my beliefs, you each have yours. If you aren't sure speak to someone appropriate. End thread.

Not sure why it is considered wrong to ask about religion? People post all sorts of random questions on here... why should this be any different? If people have genuine 'faith' why would they be sensitive to views aired on a car forum?

I think religion is something which can offer comfort to those who truly believe.

It can also cause people to act irrationally if their beliefs supersede common sense.

I do not believe in god nor follow a religion simply because it all seems to farfetched. But i would never comment on an individuals beliefs because they are entitled to them.

If it floats your boat then so be it, for me, there is no proof either way so until I'm proven wrong I will say no.

I don't. I can understand how some people can draw strength from books/beliefs but as with most things there is a shed load of hypocrisy so I cant take it too seriously.

Was at a christening recently and it was around 'harvest time' they were asking for gifts for the homeless and I couldnt help but think how many people would be able to sleep in such a large hall, x that by the amount of religious buildings and well, there wouldnt be that many people on the streets of an evening if they all opened their doors every night.

I think a better question would be do you believe in fate/destiny or free will (is there such a thing)? ;)
