Fundamentalism/extremism is religions biggest problem and is a common enemy for everyone, whatever your belief system. IMHO.   ETA: That's the most I've thought about religion since an R.E. lesson when our teacher introduced us to Rastafarianism with the aid of a Bob Marley album.

Don't stick around you'll get converted

I bought into Rastafarianism straight away. What's not to like? Red Stripe. Reggae. And spliffs on a beach in the Caribbean.

its a very christian point of view to insist on only one god , where there are plenty of references to many gods Exodus 23:13-32 Make no mention of the name of other gods, neither let it be heard out of thy mouth. (v.13) Thou shalt not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor do after their works: but thou shalt utterly overthrow them, and quite break down their images. (v.24) Thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor with their gods. (v.32)

Good point, so he is saying other gods exist but you have to be in my gang. So if you believe in God you must also believe in other gods as he tells you they exist. It's all a little strange.

Other gods exist but only in the minds of mankind. Sure there have been plenty of gods through the ages as civilisations have come and gone...Greek, Roman, Egyptian... But if you spent 6 long days making everything out of nothing wouldnt you be a bit pissed if for instances some of your creation started bowing down before cows instead of eating them?

See he is still not for me if he can't take a joke  See if I was god I would find that extremely funny and it wouldn't bother me one bit. I would let the cow worshipers in just for the laugh they gave me.

Other gods exist but only in the minds of mankind.

So you understand that all gods (of which there have been thousands) are just inventions by human beings, with the exception of your god.

Someone who believes in a different god to you (say Alah) would say the same thing with respect to their god.

You both have the same amount of evidence that yours is actually a real one - ie none.

I think in essence its saying that yes there might be others, but you dont speak of them nor worship.... Like Kia, they make cars but dont fcuking buy one!

This is why there is a lot of jealousy in reality between religions. "Mine's best! No mine's best" attitude!!!!! "So lets fight"!

Excuse my language but it really is a load of bollocks when you think about it isn't it. Basing your beliefs in a book which has no discernable source or evidence yet scoffing in the faces of others who do the same thing because they follow a different (hypothetical) "book". Please....
