Right, if I go to heaven and meet up with my dead gran. How old is she? How will I recognise her if shes 25? Or if I'm 65 how will she recognise me? On a side note I'm a none believer, I think you die and thats it, the end. Although i still use the names You often hear me say jesus christ, for gods sake, for the love of god etc when im annoyed. I think its just because i learnt english and they are well used things to say when your pissed off.

You'll be too busy with virgins.

Thats a good point. Another thought then, if I was married and god forbid (see another phase) my wife dies. I then get remarried and have kids etc. When I eventually die will it not be a little awkward finally meeting my first love again with my "current" wife with me? Who do I live with in heaven? Or do i ditch them both and stick with the virgins?

I don't think god will let you near them virgins, one of the ten commandment goes something like don't you go drooling over virgins .more chance of a good time with me and its warmer. All the good stuff is against the law up in heaven. As AC/DC sang. Hell ain't a bad place to be

Now we're on the subject anyhow, where are these virgins coming from? Is there a short cut? Is there any quality control or do all virgins qualify? Is there a maximum to the virgins at your disposal? What happens with the let's say used virgins? Is heaven a male only paradise or does the same mechanism apply to women?

I'm considering to join the religion with the best answers ...

I see most of this thread is banging on from people who "hate having religion pushed down their throat" by others

In fact I see little to no one pushing of religion or God here, it's mostly the total opposite

Zoobeef, she's you mum, look after her. Lots of organised groups could be called a form of control, If it's not bringing he any harm and makes her happy then what's wrong with that?

It's all relative. I have a close friend from school who became a Seventh day adventist after we left school. For years I poo pooed it and thought he was weak. I couldn't understand why joined it and what benefit he and the rest of them got from it,

But he's now married to his wife, hasn't killed anyone, hasn't rammed his religion down others throats and is pretty happy guy living a normal life, what's wrong with that.

People roll their eyes and wonder about me when I start talking about  the VX and the weirdo's I've met here and consider it some strange religion,,, I think I'm still normal... aren't I?

I'm sure you will all be very surprised when I tell you the questions about virgins and wives have already come up before :)

There are some differing opinions, and I am not even remotely an expert on the matter. But for the most part...

If you are married and the Mrs dies, you get married again...

No problem. You are allowed to have more than 1 wife. So you get to be with both of them...

For the Wife. Sorry, 2 husbands aren't allowed. But you get to choose which one you want to hang out with. Though you can't have more than 1, he does get a weekly makeover. So stays looking fresh and interesting.

Many have expressed concerns that having to spend an eternity with the other half would be more like Hell than Heaven...

But we have been assured that character flaws will have been addressed in all parties and there will be plenty to do to keep you interested and occupied.

Wives vs Virgins.

Wives will have a higher status as they will have gained it through goods works in the world.

The virgins will be beautiful, but wives again even more so, again through good works in the world.

Regarding age.

I'm not sure about specific age. But there is a famous hadeeth (saying) of the prophet Muhammad where an Old woman asks him about this.

He replies telling her that 'There will be no old women in Paradise'

The old women becomes sad. He then tells her that everyone will be young again and in their prime. Making her smile.

How will we recognize each other ?

No idea, but in the grand scheme of things, I'm sure it's been taken care of...

Salaams...

Im sure he knows how upset and angry with all thats happened.

God values mankind way above them.

That's one particular reason I really dislike religion. God has us above all and the more humans there are the better, no matter how over crowded the world is or how it's destroying the planet. The world and the animals in it were created for us to use and abuse.

No idea why people would believe all this made up stuff. Incredible that people still believe in it.

My personal nightmare would be a long plane journey sat between a religious person and a conspiracy theorist.

I would say use yes, but not abuse...

Not abuse is kind of the point. Hence, discourage greed, hoarding, show kindness, mercy etc.

As to your 'No Idea Why' question.

According to Islamic teachings, the reason would be that we have it built into us by design. Hence religion has been around and flourished as long as we can recall and found independently in different parts of the world despite no communications between these communities.

RE: 'a religious person and a conspiracy theorist'...

If you were clever about it, you could use religion (or swap places with the religious person) to answer/resolve many of the conspiracy theorists questions :)

Nice one, When we get full discloser and are told the truth regarding all the alien races knocking about I will ask one to pop over to yours and put you in the picture regarding gods  We seem to have a million times more proof of aliens than we do a god? Now then ten years back I saw a ufo and pictures of it in the paper latter, I never did see god all them years going to church. So which should I believe in, something I have seen with my own eyes or a myth?

Now then ten years back I saw a ufo and pictures of it in the paper latter, I never did see god all them years going to church. So which should I believe in, something I have seen with my own eyes or a myth?

Problem you have, is God does not have a physical form (from our perspective we see Jesus as a prophet, not god/his own son etc.). God is the creator, not part of the creation.

In terms of having seen with your own eyes etc. If you saw a UFO, then you saw a UFO. Fail to see the relevance ?

I don't have a problem with their being Aliens. As the All mighty is capable of creating the universe, maybe he created aliens as well...

In some ways, it depends on what you mean by Aliens. As angels are supposed to be able to travel up to the heavens and back, I'd argue they are extra terrestrial and therefore Aliens :)

It's kind of funny. Some people will watch Science and Science fiction and conclude God does not exist. To me, it shows the many ways in which much of what was previously hard to accept 'without faith' suddenly become perfectly viable.

Miraculous birth of Jesus without a Father. Hey, you seen what scientists can get up to these days. Seen what has been discovered about reproduction by other animals/plants. If they can do it, then why is it so hard to believe the almighty can make it happen.

Unseen Angels etc. around us. Hey, we are willing to accept that there may be other dimensions that we are unable to access. Suddenly, unseen beings capable of traveling vast distances in what to us is the blink of an eye doesn't sound so far fetched.

I used to had a debates with an old work colleague a few years back. He was an out and out Atheist, and liked to  'prod' me occasionally to pass the time...

I remember on one occasion, we ended up with him saying he was willing to accept that there were incredibly advanced Aliens with incredible powers that might have helped create life on earth etc. but that there was no God.

I forgot to ask him what the difference between the two might be...

Prod  Actually I'm with him 100% if we manage to survive a few more thousand years we will have all those powers and more we can't even imagine so why not other beings that are thousands of years older than us BUT we will not be gods, we may seem like gods to lesser creatures but we won't be a god like the one you pray to. We would not make a heaven and a hell and won't to be worshiped, well you might

See, now you've lost me. I could convince you (maybe)

Super Super advanced aliens, no problem.

Maybe with telepathic abilities so they know everything you are thinking OK.

Capable of creating life. OK.

Capable of manipulating time and space OK.

Being really nice to such beings, given how advanced. Good Idea.

God - NO !
