Been in a Vx with an eds map and it was awfully spiky! Personally I'd get a custom map more money but worth it in the long run Can I ask why you want to do it yourself? Edit Thought you meant the generic maps so my comments above might no be relevant

I've got the Eds 3.5 map on mine and tbh it's fairly smooth. The problem comes when you want to update it. Even if you have the mapping tool Eds may not have a map set for the spec you're looking for. The maps always seem to be a bit of a compromise whereas a proper mapping session should get things spot on.

Seems pointless to me. You're just buying an overpriced flash tool and access to some generic maps to upload. If you're engine configuration is static, get it mapped to suit at Courtenay's or spend £50 and get a fleabay Galletto cable and a CD full of generic maps for the Z20LET in various levels of modification. Or use said cable to fully map it yourself, a la Siztenboots.

I have seen enough blown engines in race cars due to poor fuel mapping.

Thanks for the help everybody I will pass on that idea as I need custom mapping with 2 maps installed. I will probably have to get another emerald ecu as we know them and get them mapped properly

kg55 if you email me  at teamvxracing@gmail.com , I will send you an invite to the Dropbox shared folder where all the mapping tools for our Motronic ME1.5.5 are.

Everything you need to edit maps with WinOLS or TunerPro is there, its for enthusiasts who want to learn how to map and teach themselves, or for professionals who already know what they want to change.

Other than a cable for the laptop , and maybe wideband setup , its free , just your own time needed.

Its an identical setup than all the VAG and Audi guys use with their Motronic 7.x , its just that there are very few who map the 1.5.5
