Hi I'm Danny - just thought id introduce myself. Known T. Spark a while, been out in his Mexico Blue beast and now I really want a VX

Looking at buying a VX220 myself to be used as a daily driver, probably within the next month or two. Any advice of what to look out for when purchasing would be helpful and  appreciated as with any other information you share,

Thanks

D

Has he had it properly mapped yet? Or still on base map?

Nah, its not mapped yet, but I am led to believe it is going to be very shortly - in time for its summer use...

Haha, true, but he hardly drives it, plus he has a small fleet of cars to run, don't know where he's pulling the money from. I'll let him answer to that anyway...all I know is he won't sell it me :(

Welcome to the forum VRS Danny. Look and have a read of the VX220 buyers guide on here to give you some ideas about what to look for. What's your budget.....do you want a NA, turbo, cat car?

Hi RIck, thanks for the reply. I'll head over and check out that now. Im probably going to be looking to spend 10k ish, but would spend more if it was the right car (or less for that matter too) and it would either have to be a turbo I think, I might go for the 2.2 if it was supercharged.

A tidy turdo? That must be deliberate as my spell check won't allow it. :)

Welcome on board Danny, you never actually asked me to sell the VX220 to you, if you had I might have said yes if I could buy it back a year later :P

second, and thirded about Jonnyboy

pxchanged an NA for an NA off the dear chap late last year, it was a pleasure to do business with him, and there are a couple of others who also frequent these parts...keep clear of street traders imo...

Jonny boy is a reliable source as he cannot allow a bad one to put a bad name against himself........

HH....  hoping for some commission  :) ...oh and welcome and happy hunting, just be careful about all the primmer coloured ones out there, alot of VX's were never given the top coat of paint from the factory
