I'm sure there'll be a guide or thread somewhere but I couldn't find it...sorry :) Will the Motorsport seat fit to a standard rail/subframe? Any pointers gratefully received as it doesn't seem to be a straight swap.

I've got the Lotus motorsport rails on mine , and they bolt to the side of the seat. Obviously you lose the adjustment

I think you'll need the relevant Lotus subframe for that seat. For seats that are all meant to bolt into the same holes on both cars, there's a shed load of grief trying to get any given seat, fit any given subframe and then fit any given car when not all of the matched parts are supplied.

Lotus subframe is better anyway as the lap belt bolts are mounted in double shear and not single, as with the VX subframes. What seat have you actually got? One of their Exige Probax seats?

It's 5OCs old one. It's probax but from an Elise.

What's all the double shear stuff?  :borg:  From what I've gleaned the inner one is double shear and the outer one can be locked in position. I'm confuddled!

What's to say a lotus subframe will fit in my vauxhall anyway!!

AFAIK for a probax/Motorsport seat you'll want exige subframe
