It's quite boring
u spend all this money on filler
just to mix it up let go hard then spend ages turning it into a dust that blows everywhere
No power at my garage so all done by hand
Moulded the two buttresses on the clam and a 40mm wide band in fibre glass so the form sits nice and snug
on the clam in the same place every time.
Eventually when I'm happier I will bond the form to the rollbar cover
would use form board for sure next time
this has been fun but it's taken longer than doing it the right way !!
Back end not finished yet it will get longer and hang over the clam
similar to a turbo spoiler or something along those lines

Let me know if you need some high-res pixies from the german one for inspiration.

BVSD, looking good! That's a lot of work put in so far so keep at it and eventually you'll have the joy that is mould making.
I'm with Smiley on the end point of the coupe though. I know you said you wanted to take it to the end of the clam but (imo) needs to finish just short and then go into a turbo spoiler that is moulded into the clam (like Nige's)
What's the plan on the bootlid? Clear perspex, slats? Its the only thing I cant get looking right in my head.

I'd be using a piece of wood directly on that.... Seen it time and again on yank bodyshop programs where they fill a roof and then use a long bit of timber to sand it back.
