make sure the money is transferred via bacs and not by personal cheque.

In my opinion.............walk run away from this Sean. What realistically is the likelihood of someone from the Cayman Islands wanting a VX on the island?

ring him back and see who answers the phone, most likely a scam

Get a mate to ring him back and say "Hi I'm the guy selling the Porsche". If he's into that as well then there's something wrong. You could then have some fun winding him up!
