I know I have to grind a bit off the pressed rockers and I've seen the pics but is there a "grind XXmm off from here" type guide or is it a case of try it and see?

It is a Z22 head or is it a B207? I think the later rockers fit without modification (cast vs. previous pressed)

Its a B207 head but it has pressed rockers. I think the supertech caps need the rockers grinding for clearance.

That sounds right. Speaking to Vocky he says the later cast rockers as found in mine don't need it.
Can't help with the amount of grinding though

They look like cast rockers to me.

Thanks guys.
I thought they were pressed as the other cast ones I've seen have webs on the bottom but these are open. That video is perfect

What should I aim for? There's around 2mm there.

All done, surprisingly easy to grind off too. Thought they'd be hard but they're soft as a southerner.

That's good news as I shall be going through this with mine when I get back from work
Any chance of popping up a photo of a finished item?

Now look like this
However, be careful when grinding them. They are proper soft! I did it on a bench grinder and took some material off the tips on two. Should still be OK to use as the load point is actually quite far back directly under the vertical bit where it comes down from the roller. The two I over ground look like this.
Being rather particular I ordered 2 new ones to replace them and ended up with cast ones. Here you can see the differences on the bottom of the rocker.
the cast ones have plenty of clearance so I might get a full set.
When you do grind them the filings go into the needle bearings of the roller and you can feel it gets gritty. They will need cleaning out very carefully.

Excellent, thanks.
It doesn't look too tough a job...but then ordering a set of cast ones sounds a bit easier still. I'll give it some thought.
ETA: Did you order the new rockers direct from Vauxhall?

Sorry, missed this. They were 7 quid each from ebay. Yeah, I know 'ebay!' but tbh the quality looks good.
