Hi All,

I have a 2002 NA which is developing quite bad corrosion on the long brake lines that run under the sill on drivers side (passenger side also corroded but not as badly. I had the rear clam off and saw the corrosion around the elbow joints just in front of the rear wheel arches.

I have seen all of the threads on replacing these lines & the job looks like a bit of a nightmare, plus I am on the Isle of Man, so don't have access to specialist mechanics. The guy that does my car doesn't think he can do this job (we've both looked at the various methods suggested in the relevant forum threads), so I think the safest option is to get a set of custom braided hoses made to replace these two lines.  My questions are:

a) Does anyone know the length of these two brake lines (they are parts 7 and 8 in the attached diagram)?

b ) Can anyone tell me the size/spec of the male and female swivel joints at either end. I think they are M10 x 1, but wanted to check first.

Many thanks in advance for any help any of you can give,

cheers

guy.

yep custom brided hoses front to rear can't help on length but imagine easy enough to measure with a tape, i would be inclined to

to a straight run with no joints.
