As title really. Daily driver with no track use. Got an advise on MOT for all discs.
I know this might be a 'how long is a piece of string' type question, but opinions would be welcome.

depends on type of pad used.
10-40k

given the pads on the Vx dont cover the whole braking surface, and the bits that arent touched turn to rust fast, it could be a shite MOT station trying to tuck you up....
Or they could well be worn.
Even with my PFB97 disc eaters, the discs managed 18Kish and even when I took them off they had lots more life let (I had left the car stodd for 3 months in the snow and the pads welded to the discs etc so got new)

That's how to get your money's worth from disc, pads and track rod ends, maybe she just had the music turned up, the sparks at night would be good.Did you tell you what the advisory was, i.e discs lip

I always say rule of thumb is 2 sets of pads per disc
But as the VX discs are cheap I change them with the pads everytime
