Hi Guys, Finally the VSE is on & pre-cat de-cat completed. PITA job, but worth doing.... One thing though... Exhaust tips of the VSE vibrate (quite alarmingly & at a high frequency).

Unfortunately, frame rate on the iPhone is not high enough to capture true movement (what appears as a "wobble" in the video is actually a vibration, I'd say in an upward - downward motion of about 2-3mm each way).

 

There are no "extra" rattles, knocks or vibration in the cabin & I checked the u-bend pipe, cat & pre-cat pipes which seem pretty solid. What say ye.... don't f**k with it or under- trays off & rehang whole system?

 

Oh.... whilst I was under there found an oil leak... Not too bad (not even noticed it on the dip stick), but it is making a mess! Buggered is I can find where it's coming from, any ideas (maybe head gasket seal)?

I'd clean up that whole area, including all the way up and around that inlet cam end plate and see if you can see where it's originating from after running the car a while. There's not much there. Not even sure it's oil. Could it be that egr blanking plate not sealed properly and exhaust gas/condensate gradually accumulating there?

Oil leak is from the cam blank. common problem, mine did the same.

Cheers Fez. As always a sound and simple diagnosis form you. Might you advise in how to tackle and torque settings? Cheers. Ben. PS: I'm assuming as no comments on exhaust tip vibrations the "don't f**k with it" option is best?
