I can't believe I spent that time talking to you, then completely forgot to go look at your Vx!!
Was nice to chat! My car isn't finished yet, got a long list of things to do when budget allows then it'll be more interesting to look round
Your VXR looked great!

Currently the vx is sorn for october while I take the clam off to replace the radiator with a pro alloy one and while I'm at it I'll replace the ducting for the heater (add a filter while I'm at it) and clean it all up to restore it to make it look like new. Then got to replace the coolant bottle. Hopefully be back on the road in a week or two so I can then start work on sorting a few bits on my civic...

Get that power cable off of the paintwork!
I've got it in my head I'm getting a respray at some point so not too precious about the paintwork getting a few swirls. (Silver is boring, I want something unique...)
Now got the door off to get that bolt off...

This morning I've been polishing my engine cover... It was annoying me being so dull and dirty looking. Still got a way to go before it's perfect but pretty happy with it for about an hours work

Finished putting the radiator and all working perfect and nice and easy to put back together thanks to new bolts. Need to clean the car today and put it away in storage for winter (although I'm mighty tempted to take it out to the Bugatti factory in a few weeks)
Went for a little drive this morning...

When I can afford to do it properly! I want a job that will last and be high quality and when I do it I'm sure there will be added costs like new grills and trim bits everywhere etc
Also want to sort the surface rust on the wishbones at some point as apart from that the car is in great condition

Today I've made a bit of progress...
Now just waiting for my new lenses to arrive to re assemble
Also fitted new gear knob and hand brake, thanks to mollie6 for sending them so fast!
Next up, going to get the fuel cap and surround anodised in black, fit full carpet set when the arrive. Then car is booked in for a colour change wrap in a few weeks time because, well, the car is silver...

Boo... I have never understood people's desire to make the NA lights look like the inferior Tubby versions.
The grey lights and window suround works very good on some colored vx's.
Silver is not one of those.
On contrasted colors like blue and black it's gorgeous.

Headlights finished and fitted, thanks to Tom for the headlight covers, they're a HUGE improvement on my old ones!
Rear lights painted too
Also, carpets are fitted which look lovely and should hopefully stop me slipping on the metal getting in the car with wet shoes...
Little drive this evening, then it'll be put away until I get the wrap done on the 17th/18th... Can't wait!!
