For some time now I have been sitting on a "special" engine just waiting for a chance to put it in my VX but other projects have meant the chances of actually getting to put it into the car have become ever more distant!

Reluctantly, I am therefore willing to listen to offers for this engine :(

The LSJ bottom end was bought from Jon at Courtenay Sport, who got it from Lotus. Every component is brand new, zero miles apart from the head itself which has had extensive work.

All of the head work and modifications have been done by vocky to a very high standard, no expense spared.

Engine Specs

-          Brand new 2.0LSJ Block, pistons, rods and crank

-          Under piston oil cooling jets

-          Saab B207 sand cast head fully ported, valve guides checked and replaced, inlet manifold threads enlarged to M8

-          Saab sodium filled valves

-          Brand new timing chains and tensioners

-          Brand new balance shaft chains and tensioners

-          Brand new Waterpump

-          Brand new Saab Crank with 60-2 trigger wheel

-          Modified valve stem seals

-          Blower Cams

-          Dual Valve Springs

-          Alloy 6 rib crank pulley

-          Lightweight Flywheel

-          Performance Courtenay Clutch

-          Balancer shaft delete

-          Custom Exhaust cam blank

-          Modified oil filter take off to remove need for sandwich plate

-          Modified Saab Sump with level sensor

-          Painted Saab Cam cover

-          Brand new aluminium coil pack cover

-          Fully balanced

-          Harrop Supercharger

The engine is ready to drop in and needs no further work saving time and money. Needless to say it should rev incredibly freely and be extremely reliable, for quite some considerable power.

All in, I am looking for £5,000 for the above setup.

You should be a able to achieve 360 hp + if the engine internals will take it

The internals should be good for 400bhp and depending on your view of possible liner failure above that, perhaps significantly more.

This is still for sale, sorry haven't been about here much.

Lots of other random bits in my loft too which I need to sort out at some point! Unfortunately my car is still sat in my parents garage whilst I am waiting for my own garage to be built to get my car back on the road when I get the time, but I have been preoccupied with a new property venture at the moment so the car hasn't had a look in :(

Bump!

Still no progress on my garage to get the car back on the road, I keep buying other houses (3 this year!)

I'm at football I'm afraid. I've had a few people asking about buying the car but I'm not sure it makes any sense even though I'm not using it at the minute.

Bump, still got it!

My garage will be finished by Christmas so I will finally get my car back on the road, unsure whether to install the engine or change the piston rings in my current one and stick with that...
