Tried it on mine with proper white tyre paint Took ages 😡 Actually like the look but the fcuking stuff cracks after a bit of spirited cornering so removed it in the end

Interesting effect. Personslly I would of used a thinner red line on the rims... or dual really thin lines... nice work though. What tyre paint did you use?

I thought opinions might be mixed on this one. As i said, personally i really like it, for some reason i think it fits the car really well. I agree on the Lightning McQueen part, thought about this myself, haha!

The kid in myself says: Looks like a race car now!

I always thought the car looks a little bland without the logos / grille / etc, and i think this gives it a nice contrast. I can see how it looks a little bold and therefor many people don't like it.

I used a tire marker pen which cost me about 3.50 euro. Needed two coats to really look white... six hours for two wheels (i usually take my time with things like this / pay too much attention to detail). Not sure i'll do this again once i replace the tires, i'm lazy! :D

It's calypso red, same red as the car of chris_uk. It looks a little different in every picture, my phone camera has seen better days.

The garage is a good spot indeed. The red gay polo behind the speedster is my daily beater (2003, rocking 240'000km and still going strong).  :P  :D

I chavved my old tyres up for a laugh but I actually like it.  Enough to make me do it again on the replacement tyres.

They look best when in motion!

I used white tyre paint and it did not last more then 200 miles.

I like it but don't like the red lip on the wheels.

I didn't like the red stripes on the wheels either at first (previous owner did them), but grew fond of them later on... still, i'm always debating to remove them wondering if it would improve the look. Will see how long the paint lasts... did yours say it'll last forever on the packaging as well? Haha!

Bunsenburner, i think almost a year ago there were some pictures posted in this forum from a meet. I think i saw your car in one of those pictures and remember you said you did it for a laugh... those pictures actually inspired me to do this. ;)

IMO yes, a lot haha

the paint had permanent written on it so I gathered it would be, but no.. maybe its because my car gets filthy before I wash it or maybe I abused it on track, no idea.

If I can be bothered to do it again I will try something else.
