In Sutol's thread about the the problems he was having with his neighbour....

http://www.vx220.org...t-would-you-do/

I posted that I had in the past had similar problems with one of my neighbours in Milton Keynes.

I've not lived in Milton Keynes for the last three years but kept the house. A change in circumstances though means that I will shortly be returning there.  So tonight I went round to cut the grass.  This is what I found:

He's trimmed branches that were overhanging and simply dumped them over the fence onto my back patio by the back door and down the side passage, blocking access.

Now I know he's within his right to return the overhanging branches but really...........what an ignorant bastard.  I think he's got wind of the fact I'm coming back and is intent on winding me up from the start.  Luckily he wasn't at home when I was round there.

That's bloody stupid but people like that have to put up with themselves on a daily basis. I feel sorry for them. There are always ways and means. Hope you are well Wolf.

If it was your tree overhanging his garden and he's cut it then he can dump it over. If the other way round he can't. Either way it's a bit mean :( Just put his address on every scam mail thing you can find, post him some dog turd, send him pizza delivery etc etc. Tho maybe that's a bit extreme

The problem is Chill, it's very difficult to trim the branches of that tree.  It borders his garden (obviously) but because of its position right in the back corner of the garden it's very difficult to trim.  Whilst I would do it myself, he won't allow me access to his property to do it.

Like Sutol's case, it all stems from a few years ago when I objected to an extension he wanted to build because he would have been putting windows in the side of the extension upstairs that would have looked directly into my garden and also enabled him to look directly into one of the bedrooms from just a few feet away.  The Council upheld my objection and so he had to change his plans substantially.  From that moment on he became an awkward prick.

He has had several rants at me ever since but I've never once lost it with him or sworn at him.  It really riles him when I remain calm and simply ask him not to swear or shout at me.  The ironic thing is they call themselves Christians.  So I simply remind them that their actions are not very Christian like.

Thanks for the offer Hornet.  Will take you up on that offer, but can't manage this weekend.  Will be in touch to sort something out soon though.

Other than that I'm very well thanks Gianni.  He's an educated man but somehow thick as sh*t.

I always look at a argument from both sides mr wolf Look at it from this point he has done you a favour and cut it down for you Set it on fire when his washing is out that should really fan the flames Or raise above it remove it and offer him a cup of T explaining your reasons for objecting to his extension

After his planning permission was refused and he submitted fresh plans, I did go round and have a cuppa with him to run through his fresh plans to which I didn't object and also I explained clearly why I'd objected originally.

Unfortunately, shortly after that, he then did something that he'd not discussed with me yet he'd discussed with several other neighbours.  When I asked him why he'd failed to mention that to me over our coffee, his response was 'You were probably out playing in your sports car' in a very sarcastic voice.  The guy is a liar and an ignorant sh*t.  End of story.
