Hi guys,

Due to a certain 'lack of house and garage' currently in my life I've decided that I need to put the car in storage for 6 months until this changes.

My question is, what do I need to look out for when it comes to getting the car back. I don't want anything to snap or break, or for certain liquids within the car to damage anything upon start up after 6 months. Is there a checklist you have to follow when it comes to starting the car up again?

Thanks guys

Matt

the only thing I'd be slightly concerned about is the brake discs corroding their tits off. Otherwise battery off, tyres overinflated and leave her alone for 6 months

try and jack it up, or you will likely develop flat spots on the tyres.

not using mine for one winter was an expensive mistake as the gearbox cables seized up

Mine goes off the road in November until March. To avoid anything seizing up I just run it up to temp every few weeks and back it in and out of the garage, do a few visual checks etc. No reason why 6 months stored will cause any issues tho.
