Teesside have started opening up the track to cars 1st Monday of the month. It's a small but interesting track that's popular on the karting circuit and I am using it as a test session for my new SC conversion and geo. It's £35 for 3hrs which is pretty reasonable. Sign on is 2.30pm. So far me and mitm are signed up.

I've been on this track (not in my vx) and there's not a lot of run off! I'm sure it won't matter to a lot of the track guys/girls but just thought I'd mention it

Well, that was interesting. Never been in a driver briefing where the following has been said: 'if anyone thinks it's a good idea to go out there and blow an engine, park it on track and have all their mates pile down and smash the car to pieces - I'm calling the police'. Only in teesside :D

Top day, only 30miles on track £35 a bargain. ... but watching an escort RS4600 going sideways round a kart track...priceless. Probably the best value for money day ever...and remember children don't carry jump leads in your boot with an.exposed battery, someone must've got a picture of the M3s boot on fire!! Oh and the XJ40!! Big up Smoggieland!!

Even more of a bargain when it's free :) shame your mate didn't get his vintage Porsche on but I wouldn't have chanced it either with the Clio brigade. RS4600 was epic on track. Bu66er, I've just seen this. I've done a fair few trackdays at Teesside in cars and on bikes (and in karts). I'd have definitely come along as I've not used the VX properly yet :(

I lost track after the trackdayclub organisers stopped doing them - who's organising now?

Bikes tomorrow, can't get my F'ing leathers on! Cars next week I think...and the speedway next door let's you have a go!! The guy who runs the track sorts out the days, would really like to organise a grown up day and pay more & limit the numbers a bit but it was not that bad (saxos & Clio up your chuff).

Think the cars are on the 1st Monday of the month. Might do it again if it's dry next month.

Bikes are off today. Cars can do Mon or Tues £1,600.00 for 20 cars which would leave plenty of room for everyone!!

Interesting video, enjoyed that. For comparison I was reaching an indicated 135mph on the back straight on my 600RR. I've not been there on my Fireblade yet :) No idea on lap times which really would be interesting.

I ride in the slow group there by the way - I'm a pretty average rider. An ex BSB rider turned up one meeting which was truly humbling for everyone else there!

Edit. I've seen 90ish on the back straight in a 205 Gti. No idea in my Westfield as the Speedo didn't work
