Hi All,

I have a full 4pot conversion kit but I no longer require it.

Posted Image

In the kit is the following:

2x AP 4 pot callipers (CP7624's)

2x 308mm drilled and grooved 1-piece discs (Not AP)

EPTuning braided brake hoses

Full set of AP-branded Ferodo DS2500 pads (for the 4 pots - just to be clear this kit does not include rear pads)

2x AP calliper mounting brackets to suit VX220 with 308mm discs

Full set of correct bolts for mounting brackets to hub, and calliper to bracket

Full set of pins and anti-rattle springs

1x bottle of Loctite 270 as supplied in the kit by AP

1x AP brake manual

1x AP sticker...

Everything is brand new unused - although I have personally trial fitted a calliper and disk to my vx220 to guarantee it will all fit. This is the same kind of kit that would have originally been supplied by Thorney.

Looking for £1100, first to PM secures (unless that is no longer the .org rules)

I'm sorry to all you guys outside the UK but I don't want to send these abroad unless no one from the UK is interested

(PS apparently calliper is the correct English spelling, rather than US caliper)

£1,100... What's the saving over buying all the above new? What brand are the 308 discs. And are you £1,100 firm or will you listen to offers?

Ok sure - I didn't realise the kits had come down.

The discs were supplied to me by Nelly who assured me they were a decent make - National or something like that?

Open to offers

So CP 7624s...related to these? (7600 family).

These are not the standard Lotus/VX fitment then?

I'm potentially interested, but not at £1,100 and depending on the brand of discs - I see they're one piece?

hi Graeme - our posts have crossed, please see above.

The calipers are the grey/yellow equivalent of the original red/white AP 4 pots a lot of people have on here and use to be sold by eg thorney

The problem with this particular kit against the official kit, is that it doesn't have floating ali-bells. Without them the unsprung weight is going to be increased over standard, which will in turn effect the handling.

do you mean floating bells (pain in the arse?) or separate bolted on ally bells?

Biggest issue with those is price! the non-floating are 834 a pair

I know there are a few people out there using 1 piece discs on 4pots, dave hardwick does, and I've seen others. I'd probably reserve judgment until speaking to an expert though

Lotus fit them (or similar 4-pots) to their cars with standard iron discs - alloy bell discs are optional.

This is the old version where you need the bracket to make them fit as the new version bolts straight onto the upright.

The original kit never had floating bells, it had a basic bell and fixed rotor
