I always thought it was more problematic the other way round. Isn't redex pretty much just unleaded petrol and is added as a supplement.

I believe petrol cars are pretty sympathetic to being filled with diesel but not the other way around!!

Petrol cars bung up as the diesel forms a gel type sludge in the pumps and injectors, where as in dervs the petrol just strips a bit of the pub and life from the fuel injection equipment. Not to mention that diesel in a petrol will ruin the lambda sensors and cat too. If you're gonna screw up, put petrol in the diesel car. :)

Did it 10 years ago on an old 309 and was fine. I'm told this new fangled stuff is more sensitive though. Kind of like 'modern' blokes I guess...

Had the tank drained and refiled with diesel. Seems to be fine so far, I suppose time will tell.

Diesel nozzles are larger than petrol so you can get a petrol nozzle in a diesel but not the other way round.

I was always told that as well but it's not true. If you press it it'll go. I know this as my darling wife put diesel in my mk5 R32!
