a firm nr me has a vx in to develop this conversion, and I see no reason why it needs to be prohibitively expensive,in fact a lot cheaper than chasing the power from the gm engine. And a damn sight more reliable!!!!

Is this a known modification upon this forum ? Sounds interesting

Do you think I'm flogging this horse too much asking for more power out of it, will it break a leg and have to be put down ?

Have you had the car on a dyno to confirm it's running correctly and putting out the full 280bhp before thinking about tuning further?

No, people have pushed their turbo up to 600 isch.

Just at a cost.

Indeed I've had it the horse output tester and she's up to par

300hp is generally the "safe limit" although I know of people who have run 350hp on the std engine but have kept the torque down and it's been fine (for now....) Generally anymore than 300hp and your looking at some serious £££ Which have you got a chargecooler/uprated intercooler?

Good to hear. I'not a turdo owner so can't comment on tunning from 280bhp but would assume it could start to get expensive and unreliable from that point... However, does a vx NEED more than 280bhp? It's a car whose chassis and balance should be exploited and enjoyed rather than a dragster. With just 250bhp I'm not often left behind by other cars on the straight and round a track it can embarrass some expensive cars. What do you plan to do with more than 280bhp?

It is very interesting, you will soon realise that you don't need any more horses.

Do you know what boost your running? Could be down on power maybe since the last RR session?
