Subscribed to this one look forward to seeing your progress. Have you got any pics on how you rigged it up to make the engine mounts?

Once the cups where In place we cut and added the bracing bars between each cup and tacked in place.
Took that off to weld up.
Made the bigger cups for each side.
Then once all in place with the engine in its final position we added the bracing bars between the side mount and cups mounted to engine and box

If you plan to use the oem mount bushes I would imagine they will give too much movement of the engine which wont have much space to move. Or will not last very long. Perhaps get some uprated ones like vibratechnics?

I don't fully get the rational. If I'm reading the specs right, it's a similar weight and only 10hp more than the LEH engine.
I know absolutely nothing about these engines. What are the internals like, and how flat can you get the torque curve?

that last pic of the gearbox mount confuses me , the drivers side one looks completely logical way to do it.

Potentailly it can push very silly power levels as it's a 2.5L inline 5 cylinder engine to start with so you get an additional 500cc over a Z20LE(TH) anyway.
Volvo used the same basic block (albeit an older generation) in the S60R and V70R where they do 300+ bhp in stock form.
These usually have no problems to sustain around 400bhp indefinitely in fairly mild state of tune which should help with driveability.
Now.. Anyone up for a Volvo (Yamaha) 4.4L V8 swap? Oh.. And turn it into a twin-turbo??
Bye, Arno.

Hmmm, now who had that same idea?
(Isn't this the same base engine as the Noble 600?)
Anyway; no real need for turboing this baby:

This Volvo Yammaha V8 is the same as in the Noble M600 or whats its called, actually had this idea to put this longitude monuning in the speedster.I don't fully get the rational. If I'm reading the specs right, it's a similar weight and only 10hp more than the LEH engine.

Yes you are correct but with regards to power we were looking at the autotech 420 which produces 560Nm torqueI don't fully get the rational.
