Anyone done this?

Been watching some videos on YouTube about spraying the whole car in this stuff and thinking I might give it a go.  Thinking matt white as a starter for 10.  Also, how easy is it to clean?

I aerosol canned a set of wheels from grey to white. Took a can a wheel looked pretty good but with bolts coming on and off it got a bit damaged in bolt holes.

It's pretty easy. Apply a dusting coat first before you really build up

Time to get me a spray gun then.... Just watching a video of taking it off.  Looks too easy to be true really!

Have been toying with the idea of doing this to my spare set of NA wheels. Go from silver to black/anthracite before I get a proper powder coat

A friend did his Mustang matte black and it looks like it could be paint. Much better than my wrap although I think a wrap will last longer

Trouble with pictures is even cars with shite paint look good in them. As you can see when looking at any car on AutoTrader. I suppose some close detail shots are needed to give you a good idea.

I had it on my mirrors all summer and was really good fro things like that. I've been toying with just using the clear gloss they now do as a paintwork protector.

Its definitely the way to go to try ideas out.

When mine was peeled off, everything was it had been underneath.

I did mine entirely white, friend did his matte black. Tbh, the stuff is pretty good IMO. Obviously its not as good as paint and is let down by the dimpleyness of the finish but for ease of use / cost it can't really be beaten. Only thing I would say is darker colours are alot easier to work with it, getting it white was a nightmare!

How's it like over stonechips. As with all VX's the front of mine has the usual stone chips - Does the plasti dip tend to fill them in or show them up badly?

Would probably show through I would have thought... Mine was filled / sanded post plastidip so can't really comment on stonechips but as it was a bit of a rush job areas of crap prep did show
