Hi all,

Hoping to collect my first VX220 coming weekend, but would like to make this a good one. Not much seems to be standard on these and was wondering where I will find the VIN numbers? The one I looked at lacked the one on the dashboard....where will I find the others? Seaching 'VIN' on here wasnt much help.

Thanks for any help.

Kev

Drivers front wheel arch. It's printed on the chassis.

Where are you viewing the car? If it's close by I can offer a hand.

Mine has a plate on the drivers door post, where the door catch is.

Stamped on the chassis here, should be able to give it a wipe and read it through the wheel -

Hpi was clear,  but hpi insurance is only valid if I supply the vin and it matches from docs to car.  I don't have much experience of these cars yet,  but it's clear that there are a lot of repaired crash damage out there :-)

Searching the original reg comes up with nothing,  but one of the early private plates was DE51RE (I think Vauxhall put transfered this across a number of cars)  and another private plate had been on a track day.... No mention of any mishaps.

Hi again,

Not what I started the thread for I know, but any suggestions on an insurer that will cover a 244bhp car? Just went to Direct Line to add it as a multi-car to my current policy and they won't cover anything that is greater than 20% over the original power.

Cheers for ny suggestions,

Kev
