Good going Mark and team. What were the driving standards like today?

Very good, I had no contact throughout the race and I didnt see any. Quite a few offs but that was the conditions.

Yes, they've changed Trackday Trophy this year. Its not just for novices, they have a novice class but anyone can enter. They've changed a few things from Team Trophy to TDC as well. Single driver no longer has to do a 10s longer pit stop than two driver cars. Single drivers can stay in the car rather than all that palaver of getting out, shutting the door, opening the door and getting back in (the pit stop was a nice 2m rest for a change and I managed to drink a litre of water instead of the usual few quick sips). And class winners now get prizes from sponsors as well as a trophy and a 1st cap. I got a bag of Dodo Juice stuff.

They're very hot on  the weights and power. A BMW got caught with too much power in my class (he qualified 1st in my class which was odd going on previous form) and he was put up into class A, where he has to stay for the season, and was given the choice of starting the race from the back or from the pit lane.

now its on alpha pro 5 and with the open software you can prove the rev limit , part of the RR issues are solved. ( apart from TDI being useless and ignorant ) with the same ignition timing map that has been run 100% legal for a long time, you would not expect to see any deviation from previous power runs. but at least now we can do it ourselves if so desired.

What Steve said. Got a bit of a cold start issue but Ben at Eurospec is going to tweek it for me. At the circuit we had even more complete bo11ocks from TDi. Somebody was power tested and got vastly different results from their very recent power cert. When questioned TDI intimated it wasn't a fault with the dyno it was prob because they had brought a different dyno! More confirmation of the cocks they are!

Its the second round of Trackday Championship at Silverstone on Sunday. The VX is all ready to go and just needed a few tweeks after the successful Snetterton round in March. Qualification is 11.45am and race at 5pm and there is also GT Cup Championship, Mini Challenge and Monoposto Championship. Wet or dry we shall be doing everything we can to keep the Back on Track VX at the top of the class B championship.
