I too was thinking about changing the headlights with some drl lights. I have brought some from flea bay along with the auto dimming when headlights are on module. These Drl's also run orange for indicators as well. So just a very quick mock up. I need to cut it to the correct length but you get the idea.. http://i1137.photobu...ds/image-14.jpg And with the indicator side lit.. http://i1137.photobu...ds/image-15.jpg Shall I do it, I realise it may split opinions..

I was trying to mix it up with some ww2 window stickering.. The kit come with clear clips etc rather than the tape I have just used :-).

I like chav lights :tt:

Can you take a pixie with the drl off, so the contrast between the drl and headlamp is better visible?

I like it when its on but not sure about it when its off!! it kinda needs to fitted really neat (which I'm sure you will) so that it doesn't look DIY

Im thinking the drl looks a little chunky when off I think it needs to blend into the original light a bit more. without sounding stupid but could you tint the new light black to hide it a little??

Fair play for having a go does look good B)

Amazing to see the bends that stuff can make :tt:

The starter part hurts my eyes a little, but there's no way around that i think.

How does the end part fit so snug between light and lense?

The orange indicator part overrides it so it will flash properly. There is no starter as such. That is just the full length of the led's. I was just going to go across the bottom of the headlight and not up the inner side edge, but I quit like it like that. I have now fitted the proper clips so no tape on the inside now which cleans it up allot. More pics to follow tomorrow. The blue corsa was the wife's. It's been replaced by the 500 abarth.

I like it was actually going to do he same with mine apart from just having it going up on the outside and along the bottom. Looks good!! I live the idea of the indicator being part of it aswell! Will keep an eye on how you get on.

That looks terrible i'm afraid. That big ugly strip just doesn't work. Plenty of ways you could do it and it not look tobad, smaller smd / led strips, indiviual leds, but not a christmas tree rope light lol

I have been having trouble getting the lenses to stick back on up until now. I ordered the butyl lense fitting kit from elise parts and it is awesome. 1 kit is literally just enough to do the job on both headlights leaving no waste. I agree that the diffuser of the led's is a little bigger than I would have liked and I wasn't expecting it to be white. However when on it does look the part. I much prefer the solid bar of light rather than individual led's. Especially as this is what the car manufacturers are doing now. I just need to get another connector now from work and will hopefully get it all fitted back in this week.
