Haha, I remember you saying not too long ago that the Honda will not get supercharged.

The SC Force is strong...  :ninja:

To be honest, i reckon i am the quickest shifter in the west

but yeah if the 5.1 is too much then i will look at my options, 4.7 is still on the shelf (original FD)

Not booked in yet, still a few things to do to inside cabin and at front... going to make the arches and diffuser standalone aswell

Quite..  B)

1st gear on a Honda install in an Elise with the standard FD is already pretty useless in many cases.

1st gear on an SC/ed Honda is becoming pointless (people on these often start out in 2nd and don't use 1st)

1st gear on this torque monster with a 5.1 FD will likely either just smoke the tyres or need to shift up in about 0.2 seconds as the rev needle whips around   (also I suspect it's top speed is going to be maxed by hitting the rpm limiter and not the aero drag..)

IMHO this car would be a perfect candidate for the 3.9 FD that Gaz made for the Honda's a while back. Usable 1st and by playing with the gearsets from the EU/USA and JDM boxes you can make a close (JDM) 2-3-4-5 with a long/overdrive (EU) 6th.

Still.. Very nice install and with the current gearbox setup it should really feel like a monster and pull like a madman in any gear.  thumbsup  (I'd almost say it could be a pretty scary car in less nice weather conditions.. TVR-esque almost.  :D )

Bye, Arno.

I agree with Arno, why making the gearbox shorter, specially with this much Power.

Didn´t you have a rotrex kit? why go for the TVS instead of the Rotrex?

I really don’t care how short 1st gear is to be honest lol I don’t drag race and first will be used for getting off the grass on track 😂😂😂

It will be a dry weather only car :)

This reminds me I have jdm 4/5/6 aswell thumbsup

Yeah I had a rotrex kit, but sold it to help pay for new house, then this new kit turned up for sale so snapped it up

Hmm... JDM 4/5/6 AND a 5.1 FD..

Based on 225/45R17 rear wheels you'd do:

240 km/h at 8000 rpm in 6th.. Yeah.. You're definitely not aero limited, although you could try to make it so with massive splitter and wing as you have a massive SC backing it all up :D

57 km/h at 8000rpm in 1st though :o

Bye, Arno.

35mph in first isn’t bad tho lol

And 150mph top speed should be enough for track!

Am tempted to rev it higher tho but will see what the power is like top end

A bigger splitter has always been on my mind

cracked on with this, this week. So wired in both the water pumps, fitted a standard 063 battery as the 680 oddesey one died

modified throttle cable linkage to hopefully make it smoother

fitted standard seat frames to my reverie seats

eHFrL0d.jpg

also modified the rear arch liners, so these now dont have to be removed when removing the rear clam B)

Then the next step was the engine.... FINALLY

SRG2vZJ.jpg

so power on, checked error codes - NONE! result.

SRG2vZJ.jpg

left plugs out and cranked over to build oil pressure, fitted new plugs and turned the key... started first time, cant be happier than that! Which i wasnt expecting to be honest as i am still running the ITB map!

the jobs left to do are:

modifiy undertray for the larger sump, hoping can just space it..

Then i want to cut the rear 'bumper' so that i can leave the diffuser on when removing the clam, this way would just be the exterior bolts and the 4 spoiler bolts and the clam is off... not that im wanting to have to take it off!!
