Afternoon All,

After a small accident involving a hot exhaust manifold and a small yellow plastic block.....i am in need of a new starter relay.

I have called Lotus who are out of Stock and AutoVaux seem to take advantage of these little cars and put their prices up!! Having searched the many threads on here i have the part number so pretty sure they are all checking the right thing.

Anyone have a spare and would like sell to the needy?

Thanks

GJ

You can use a regular relay but it won't have the start inhibit function.

Try some scrap yards. Motorhog in doncaster usually have some vx220s in, not sure if they will post. Or ElizP on here

lol, tbh I should post more on the forum but figured if its on ebay people alway look?

Both have their pros and cons :)

I will get it posted asap, as I will need to collect it from our lock-up :)

Plus in your defence I think I've got one digit of the parts number wrong ;)

I've stopped looking on ebay.  I got tired of sifting through all the listings for short aerials, valve caps, new brake discs, seat covers, and other random crap.

In 2008 when i got my first i remember looking on ebay for VX220, Iirc that would pull up between 100 and 150 results. Try it now and i think its over 10k (cant access ebay at work).

 My ebay saved search. I could still do with another 200 characters to exclude more extraneous sh*t. vx220 -("aerial", "pedal", "LED", "chrome", "BOV", "poster", "xenon", "dump", "knob", "handbrake upgrade", "silver wiper", "flamer", "turbo challenge", "blue tint", "brake hose", "locking", "magazine", "covers", "brochure", "redstuff", "greenstuff", "discs", "mintex", "manta", "caps", "decal")

I use an rss reader with specific search filtering on the bay.

Just create a new entry for every specific thing I look for, and the thing pounds the ebay database every 10 min until I remove it.

Very efficient.
