After wanting to scratch the VX220 itch for a while I purchased this car, in July last year and have added my touches to  it to get it where I am really please with it. Such as OEM lined hardtop, wheels, exhaust, stereo, etc. Sadly I partially torn a meniscus and have also torn my plantar fascia, thus the car has not been used much since I purchased it, less than 800 miles. Once I am in the car is great but the getting in an out is agony, so I am putting it up for sale.

53 plate NA Europa Blue with Biscuit leather

OEM soft top and bag in excellent condition

35k miles full history with stamps on the book at following intervals:

7988    Thorney Motorsport

18583  Pomphrey Vauxhall

22048  Thorney Motorsport

22844  Thorney Motorsport

26037  Audi Volks Services

27849  Drive Vauxhall Bristol

33038  Neil Gardner Performance

34222 MGS

 Reg number is S55 FSB

Leather walet with code, and two sets of keys

ITG carbon filter

Like new VSE plus the OEM exhaust

Set of fully powder coated OEM silver turbo wheels and like new correct Bridgestone tyres.

Original wheels and usable tires included too.

Removed pre cat

Alpine Bluetooth CD stereo with iPhone integration  and microphone

Infinity speakers

Hid low beams and matching sidelights

New stainless bolts in fuel cap

New header tank

Alloy radiator

OEM VX220 floor mats

The car was cat D a while back before mine ownership and the previous ownership around 2007 and has been through 7 mots since. Previous owner had not idea of damage and as such I have no record of it.

Car drives straight as it should and brakes as well.

7 previous former keepers.

No finance outstanding, as it was purchased in full.

There are a few small blisters near the rear drivers wheel arch and some touched up stone chips, but no more than a regular car of this age

Minimal wear to drivers seat bolster

Also has a private plate valued  by regtransfers for £ 1095 which can be included.

Don't need to sell it but I wouldn't like to pay another years insurance just to keep it in the garage.

At least I can say I scratched the VX220 itch.

I am based in South Wales and I am looking for £7.250 with all the extras, not interested in parting out at the present time.

Usual boring stuff, no test pilots, canvassers, or time wasters

If you are SERIOUS and  need any more pictures or info let me know.

Not with that mileage, condition or extras. Agree Myles. Bargain thumbsup Lovely car Neil, super colour :D Shame your back means you have to sell. Not the first tho, or the last to have to sell for that reason :(

Well, it's a bit harsh commenting negatively like that. Also, with the way prices are going, you won't get a clean hpi free example at that mileage for anywhere near what he wants.

It is a nice looking car but bit heavy for a damaged Vx , but if he has pre accident pictures could be worth it.

The days of 5k vxs are long gone. Let the buyers decide eh. Stop talking the price down, it's a lovely car and priced well given condition, mileage etc. Cat D means fck all.

We all know that cat D means nothing on these cars. If i claimed against my insurance each time I picked up some minor fibreglass damage, it would have been written off as cat D three times by now.

Agree with that.

I've had the front end of my VX repaired 2 times and it's needs doing again: 1) Branch hit it, circa £300 for repair and respray, 2) Handbrake failed and it rolled in to my nans house, small crack, £50 quid repair, 3) Hit a rabbit, damage around the fog light and another crack, reckon £300ish again!

Each of these the insurance most likely would say a new clam! As long as the repairs are all good and done correctly there is no issue at all.

Seems a good price for a nice looking car, Blue and Biscuit =

If it was hpi clear it would be a 10k car now so not sure how 7 can be overpriced. When you see the garbage you get for 5-6 I think is totally unfair to call this overpriced. Still not sure why such replies are allowed as it doesn't really serve any purpose.

Not surprised it's gone in a day Neil. Priced just right for a quick sale. What's next then?
