VX220T cam position sensor (CPS) which is best way to get at it? can I still replace with cam belt on? from the top or from inner wheel liner? I have the voltage going to it and earth is good as I used it to take readings, just no signal coming off it. P0340 fault code. What size bolt or hex is it also please .

If I remember rightly the best way is in though the o/s wheel arch and remove the top part of the cambelt cover you can then get at the bolt that holds it in between the cams.I can't remember what size or type they are but they will probably be torx bolts.

A torx 8 bolt it is. I tried many different angles and with me not weighing an awful lot climbed into the luggage compartment and was then able to use 2 hands. The sensor does not sit flush with the head  and that's were the bolt hole is, so you have to use 1 hand slightly raising the sensor and the other threading the torx bolt into the hole. Another tip is to use a socket in a small (50mm) extension bar and then a small amount of insulation tape to keep the torx bolt on the end of the socket

Thanks out on the bike for replying. It was a faulty sensor there was no signal reading from it.
