I am fitting some bonnet pins to our VX as it is a track car and looks not too important. I am hoping to use the hole for the bump stops and fit a small aluminium plat for some extra strength.

Has anyone done this yet and if so any pics?

The wobbly corners drive me crazy!

Hi, I've done that, used sparco locks and fitted them in the bump stop holes. http://www.garaget.o...2&image=1208983

Did the same on my track VX220 (parts from Demon Tweeks) I have had no problems in 3 years. FYI - if its a standard bonnet, no need to reinforce with ali, IMO.

I kept the oem lock also, added the racing ones cause the wobbling bonnet annoyed me :) There are plastic ones with locks but then you will need to cut away a lot more of the bonnet compared to just drilling a hole...
