Gave the Vx a proper wash today, first time in ages (except a quick wash at the local Romanian car wash guys a month or so back lol). Over Winter the black soft top has gone greyish so I took it off, gave it a good scrub and treated it to some conditioner thumbsup Waited for it to dry before applying a weatherproofer. Then noticed it's still greyish. What's the best colour treatment you've used to get back to black? I've got a couple of brands recommended by my local motor shop but don't want to put any old sh*t on the roof.

Soft tops are always difficult to get back to their best once they've started fading / going mouldy, we used the Autoglym kit on my step Dads Z4 and it worked quite well. There's probably better products for the money though. I'm speaking with a detailer next week about doing the TVR so i'll get some advice for you.

if you can find a sensible old school retrimmer, you can get a "new" softtop for about twice the price of a refurb kit
