Having read lots of project threads made me think I've never completed one, so thought a potted history of my vx would be a nice record of how far it's come since I bought it in April 2012.

This was my starting point.

Plus points it came with TD wheels, carbon ITG and a Larini backbox. Only negative point was the tan seats.

Car didn't have a griffin on the front, instead wearing the autobot badge. So having considered galvatron, starscream, grimlock and all those super aggressive transformer names - we named it Dingleberry!

If you don't know what a dingleberry is best check the urban dictionary lol.

The plan has always been with the car to make something as good on the road as it is on the track. More a Boxster+ than a road going race car.

First up change of tyres from T1R to R1R, GM pads to 1144, and a TAT diffuser.

Then in a rough order...

Stainless kick guards
Posted Image

Wrapped windscreen surround and sunstrip
Posted Image

Plastidipped fuel cap and rear badge
Posted Image

Posted Image

Carbon wrapped mirror caps and interior trim
Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

Tan leather swapped for cloth
Posted Image

Big upgrade, leaking shocks uprated to Quantum blacks with 300/425 springs
Posted Image

Sprayed up grilles, retaining the badge which I think is now part of the history of the car

And this is how the car is right now until the 6 speed goes in this month. Can't see the 4ch abs unit but that's in there too!

Making around 250bhp on the green injectors but there's a bit of room for more.

Posted Image

Next up is the 6speed, VXR injectors, 200cel cat, and yoko AD08Rs then ill be hunting for a new (additional) project.

Cheers, I've agreed to buy some injectors so once fitted I'll be hoping for a few more bhp.

Here's the power results but I did it with a weight of 1000kg all in which was too light inc two 90kg occupants, 26l fuel, laptop etc. Should have been around 40kg more than that and would have put it on the 250 mark.

Chuffed with how flat the curves are though.

Injector duty cycle prevented any more, but the new injectors and extra rpm available will add a bit (still on safe base settings). Not got a target but as close to 260 as possible would be a great result.

Hi Pete, Did you wrap the interior trim yourself or did you have someone else do it? Reason I asked is because I tried mine but got far too frustrated at the door card where it dips in for the grab handle as such. If so what wrap did you use 3M stuff? Scott

Haha you one of those tan-fans?! It wasn't for me, I have a whole car two tone thing going on so they had to go, and the standard seats hurt me after about an hour. The probax are great for me on long trips.

Hi Scott, did myself but I'm getting pretty good at it and have done cars for other people. It's not a skill as such, but it's all technique. I don't use 3M no, I have a supplier I get my stuff from because it's the best and most realistic cf on the market. I did the roof of my old 135 in it and the guy at the main dealer thought i had chopped an M3 onto it!?!?!?!?! This is a short video of it 'on the move' in sunlight. http://i467.photobuc...zpsf913c0ef.mp4

Cracking result on the MOT today. Passed with flying colours and my emissions were super low.

I'm thinking I might take the cat off this summer and see if it can make it through with another fuel learn, or fit a 200 if needs be.

Good thread Pete,

You've spent a few £££ on it since I saw it last! MOT via QMech?
