Just saw that Martin posted an Evora update, so I thought I'd do the same :D

Mods I've done since last posting:
Fitted Sport Racer gear knob (with colour matching painted engraving)
Posted Image

Fitted EliseShop phone bracket and Brodit Mount
Posted Image
Posted Image

Fitted decat pipe (improves noise a little, but valved exhaust coming soon)
Fitted Pioneer F970DAB

I have the following to fit:
Lotus Heritage seats (same Recaro seats but with Suedetex centre panels and yellow stitching)
Posted Image

Lotus Evora 18/19 forged alloys (lighter than standard ones, bought from the recent Lotus parts sell off)
Posted Image

The door waistline seals were also replaced, cost picked up by MMC.
I've covered just over a thousand miles in the 12 or 13 weeks I've owned it. It makes me grin when I drive it.

Fuel economy isn't great
I've averaged 23.9 (real, not calculated) over 1000 miles.

My car has the close ratio gearbox, so will always be lower than LDs fuel economy, plus I drive mine for fun, hence it gets used  where as Martin uses it bit more as a "daily" thus doing sensible jounreys.

I've kept an eye on the PH classified since buying it, and to be honest there aren't many Evora's I'd swap mine for.
Hopefully, I'll get a decent summer of use now.

One of the things I love about the car, is the attention it gets.
Kids and adults alike love it, plenty of nice comments about the car, shape and colour.

Interesting... Do I miss the VX? Yes. The stage2 SC was th perfect sweet spot for the vx imho. No internals, no lumpy running or dodgy loud exhausts and relative low cost. Does the Evora replace it? Definitely. It's more usable for us as a family, I can enjoy weekend drives with my wife and 4.5yr old twins. So it's very much a good replacement. It maintains the mid engines formula, exquisite handling, it soaks up the bumps and holds perfect cornering poise. The AC is especially welcome, I don't miss the heated grilling of the VX but I do miss not being able to take the roof off. What's the Evora like on track? I'll tell you in a couple of weeks time when I'm with the VX boys at Spa! Can't wait! Am I glad I made the swap? Yes, it's the right car for me at this point in time. What would I replace it with? An Evora 400 please!

Been a long time since updating this. Since last July, I've used the car on track several times. Twice at Spa, Once at Snetterton (VX National) and most recent at Brands Hatch. No oil starvation issues, only maintenance has been a coolant temp sensory and a full set of pads and front discs. I've done 4K miles since buying in April last year and thoroughly enjoyed every one of them.

Didn't need them in the VX, ergo I don't need them here :D Besides, the whole raison d'être for buying Evora for me was the rear seats for the kids thumbsup

Service carried out yesterday as it's almost a year since I bought the car. Service done at Lotus Silverstone (£490 for service, transmission fluid change, balljoint replaced and handbrake adjusted). I supplied Oil as I bought it cheaper than Silverstone supply and I fitted my own K&N panel filter as the labour charge was quite high. So in the last year, I've done the following: Bought and fitted Lotus Forged 18/19 Wheels (from sell off) along with new Pirello P-Zero tyres. Bought and fitted Lotus Heritage Edition Seats (from sell off) Removed and Painted Harness Holes in seats Fitted Sport Racer Gearknob (with painted numbers) Bought and fitted new MY10 steering wheel with yellow stitching to match seats Bought and fitted Pioneer DAB headunit Bought and fitted EliseShop Front Discs Bought and fitted Ferodo DS2500 Pads all round Bought and fitted Lotus Sports Exhaust Lotus Silverstone full service Bought (not yet fitted) Black Lotus & Evora Badging Bought (not yet fitted) Cargo net for boot Since buying the car, I've done about 4,500 miles and quite a bit of updating

No, they are new badges. Later cars had black badging as standard. Lotus sell chrome or black badges now.

You've got to change your reversing light and fog light for the black bodied version now.
