....this is a double check as need a new passanger mirror on my VX220 .

 

just to confirm I have this right about Metro mirrors

 

spotted this ...is this same design as the VX220 mirrors ?

Yes, they are the same, however you will need to use a hacksaw to cut off the metal post (as it is used for the cabin adjustment which the VX220 doesn't have)

You may also need to source the 'bellows' part from Lotus if you don't have one to slavage from your old mirror.  Be aware that they have changed slightly so you might need a pair but they aren't dear.

For a whole £1 more you dont have to worry about cutting the metal post off:

We bought this when I dropped a jack on the wing mirror and broke the plastic posts (opps) then we just took the 2 mirrors apart and re-used the body coloured cover to save having to respray it as well but its a bit fiddly to get the mirror back together again with the spring mechanism

I fitted 2 of these to mine at the weekend
