Moulds have come out of storage for a recent order so thought before they get put back away if people were interested I'd make a short run of kits.... I know current owners probably don't want any more to be made but please feel free to discuss that elsewhere.

Here are some pictures of the car on which the kit is based. Appearance is almost identical other than the length of coupe panel is longer (original doesn't fully cover boot), they are GRP rather than carbon fibre and the hardtop has the option of being double skin.

Benefits the kit offers are far better engine cooling, increased aero effect to the rear wing and an interesting modern facelift to the VX.

Kit is supplied as gelcoat finished panels containing the inner roof skin (with high quality VX specific fixings allowing them to be secured to the VX same as the standard hardtop), an outer roof skin (with scoop) and rear coupe panel. Seals and adhesives are also available. There are no fixings or brackets supplied for the coupe panel but any good bodyshop will be able to fit these for you (a number of forum members have fitted these diy). Aerocatches will do the job 

Here's some pics of LeeVX's car which he fitted himself :)

The kits are £750 each. I'm happy to take another 5 orders.

So does this kit involve taking original boot lid off and roll bar cover?

Quite a lot of work, even if you're just aero catching it

I know current owners probably don't want any more to be made but please feel free to discuss that elsewhere.

could that have anything to do with you blatently ripping off the 9 guys who paid an equal share for "your" moulds under the pretense that there would be ONLY 10 made? for you to then fcuk them off, and your word to make them whilly nilly for everyone.. bare in mind that none of the original people are getting an cut from your profits or was even asked... is that why you want them to be discussed elsewhere?

Its No different than adding extra spaces to a track day after the originals have sold I thought this was common practise and accepted

If there's demand for them, someone will make them. Fact. Might as well be Jimmy.

I'm curious, how does producing more panels impact what you have? Are you worried that you'll walk out of the supermarket on day and be unable to find your car due the proliferation of VX220s with coupe backs?

Let's face it, owning 1/10th of a mould is no good to anyone. So perhaps the original sale may have benefited from some foresight, but as I said, if someone wants the coupe moulding, they'll do it. There's already been an example of someone buying the roof to mould it (Dewismotorsport). You paid to enable the coupe parts to be reproduced, and that's something to be proud of. I'd leave it at that.

Another point, TMS isn't getting anything from these productions either, however the original design is theirs. You weren't concerned that you were taking away profit and exclusivity from him when you committed to buying reproduction parts.

Effectively, the ten coupe owners all part own the moulds as well then?
