Well I learnt a lot!

The VX on track is in a different league, after arriving and only seeing track ready cars, many trailed in, massive brakes, full race roll cages, semi or full slick tyres.
I'm thinking ummm looks like I wont be over taking anything today

Completely wrong in fact in 2 sessions not a single car got past :) mainly thanks to Stuart teaching me the lines and pushing me where I thought the car couldn't possibly go, in fact it still had loads left in it.

The car has endless grip and in the straight line nothing much except the atoms and a few other bike engined climbing frame cars could get passed

Disconnecting the ABS makes the brakes soo much better although I spent the whole day getting told off for braking too early, but that me being a pussy LOL

Looking back the video my inlet got far too hot at times so need a bigger IC if I see a cheap 2nd hand or ideally the CC.

Balance is key to the cornering, changing direction too fast or aggressive steering just puts the car in trouble, set the car up smoothly before any corner and she glides round with no issues.

After a few spins a very fun exciting day

Great pic on three wheels lol. Though to be honest for the quickest laps you might want to soften a little. Track days in the vx are a revelation compared to road use.

Good to hear you enjoyed the VX on track. Just a note on "nothing much except the atoms and a few other bike engined climbing frame cars could get passed"... You do realise that if a car catches you you're expected to lift and let them pass on the straight. If they caught you then they're quicker over the lap even, if you're quicker on the straight. I only mention it as it was your 1st tack day and is sometimes overlooked in the briefing.

:thumbsup: Look forward to the video. It's always nice seeing a VX show the lesser cars (like the loti) around a track.

The main straight at Woodbridge is very long & wide being the main runway.

Letting them past was his downfall though. ;) Helped him follow their braking points but didn't help when he followed their lines :lol:

Oh yeah I know what you mean I did lift off, most did too but a few didn't What I mean is when you exit the corner and a car 10 car lengths away is only 1 car length by the end :)

Keeping hands on the steering wheel rather than shuffling it through was big step forward thumbsup

Yes there was an obvious improvement, a lot faster towards the end. Track looks good for a first outing too.

Unfortunately your bank balance will never be the same now as you have started on a slippery slope. It's time to buy;

Charge cooler, better brakes, better wheels, better tyres etc. etc. etc :lol:

Glad another VX is getting used properly.
