I know that this is childish but.... My friend just bought a Dax replica AC cobra. It has a 5.7 small block Chevvy V8 and sounds awesome. He reckons that this is quicker than my stage 2 VXT. I know that around a track I would eat it for breakfast. However in a straight line 0-60 which is faster? I don't know what it weighs but it's a fibre glass body like the vx. What do you think? Jon

Useless without knowing which 5.7 engine as from what I remember there is a huge difference in power outputs.

He might have you on the gear change if his replica has the true 4 gears

Why not just you both go for a blast and find out ?

An Astra VXR (back seats folded down) would be quicker than you both  :P

He tells me that the engine has 320bhp..... Yes I know it's childish and pretty irrelevant. I don't think we could safely test it out on roads round here together. It's more out of interest than anything else...

Till you test it real world you will never know.......and it will end up on the pub floor.

Just find a nice set of traffic lights on to a A-road... then go up to 60..

All would depend on the get away.. heavy footed and you will be slower.

Just wait till it rains then test it... lol

When you give it a go can I put £10 on the VX please, you should just edge it, get them both down to Bruntingthorpe Asda charity day and have a race off for the charity. 0 to 60 then a lap oh and a top end down the long straight to finish off  Oh and to me it's not yawn, irrelevant or childish just a bit of fun. 😄😄. Now go for it and post up the video If Mark can find a gear he could join in  stage four may give it a run.

Motorway slip road at midnight. Soon find out, as the slope will have a useful way to apply more strain than on the flat.
