Try whatever price you want mate Pictures will help and you must have a price in the advert Guess 200 for a refurb plus tyres so they need 600 to get them on the road

They don't exist new afaik.

Original was 100 set's. 65 ended on the VXR, and 35 sold via Thorney.

After that there were 2 reproduction batches done. (no idea on numbers)

These are often sold as "compomotive alikes" on here.

Not quite Smiley. You're thinking of the Speedline Corse VXR220 wheels of which there were limited numbers as above. The Compomotives are the 'copies' and are often referred to as Speedlinealikes.

Spend lots on tyres/wheels/powdercoating or just buy the ones I have in the classifieds at £1000 with new tyres. :D

If I had a spare 1000 and wanted a set that's what I would do

I brought a set about 3/4 years ago. Think I paid 550 quid with good tyres. All prices seem to be going up as I guess everything gets a bit rarer.

Don't forget compo's are really heavy. Great looking but not a wheel I'd choose for the vx.

Don't think so, although JG reckons not very many of the MK1 version.  There seems to be two versions:

No, Speedlines are heavy. Compomotive copies are lighter than standard VX wheel and roughly the same as the TD's that most people run for the 16/17 inch combination.

I weighed speedlines and standard VXT wheels, all without tyres. The combined weight of each set was exactly the same, give or take a few hundred grammes.

Had both, and the compomotives are slightly heavier than the TD's, but not hugely (maybe 0.5 - 1kg more per wheel) but remember the rears are 8" (so suitable for a 245 rear section tyre), where as the TD's are 7.5" wide rears.

Also about 10x easier to clean..

I have Compomotives and TD's  and will compare sometime,........ but my main point was that the Speedlines were supposed to be the heavy ones. I am sure I heard when they were first issued on the VXR 220 that they were a very strong wheel as they had been designed for rallying use?

When the compomotive copies were prodiced they were sold on the basis that they were similar in design to the VXR Speedlines but much lighter. In fact I sold my Speedlines and bought Compomotives instead!!!
