Winning bidder dropped out and cancelled on me. Not my doing, as I say I sold the car no reserve and was thoroughly expecting to be handing keys over this week.

I don't know why people sell cars as an ebay auction as opposed to the fixed price classified; we all know that no-one will let their car go for vastly under their personal valuation so should just save time and do a classified listing. Not suggesting that the seller has got his mate in, but so many of these auctions go south for varying reasons.

If priced accordingly, and not too low to arouse suspicion about nothing, then it should go. As everybody else has suggested.

without prejudice...

..well thats a jaw dropper and I wouldnt want that on anyone, and it doesnt help you with the sale....but why no deposit so its kept on hold until things get better......???

..but fwiw for any buyers...its worth googling the reg no and sellers telephone number

and its also "back" on SWAPZ.CO.UK for alot less than advertised on either pistonheads or classiccarsandsports..

..what I cant get my head around is what is the true asking price...confused.com...

..glws...

The car was on swapz months ago and was relisted there at the same asking price as first advertised when I put the car properly up for sale. I just want the car sold! And no there is nothing wrong with it other than the springs which I have sourced and will be dispatched on Monday. Only thing off putting I believe is the miles. Current asking price is £6395 as advertised on pistonheads.

Good luck with the sale mate. As a high miler owner I can say that as long as it has been serviced well regularly and not driven to destruction then 135k on a 2.2 hauling around 825kg is nothing. It's only going to have put that much on the clock being a daily driver, which is a lot better for me as a buying prospective than a weekend or track day toy. Buy the £4.99 tyre shine from Halfords, refit any badges you still have and the V and sort out the rear ride height and that will make it a much easier sale :-)
