Just for Friday fun, how about a new twist on the perennial intercooler vs chargecooler debate?
I get the pros and cons of each. Just one thought...
The 911 turbo has (IIRC) always been intercooled.
It seems to manage using air to air cooling, handling a lot more charge than the VXT, with a couple of intakes down the sides...
The intakes don't even look very big.
So how does it do it?
And instead of spending loads of cash on chargecoolers etc, what about running a second intercooler by the intake top hat, venting up through the grille, and ducting the air from the nearside turbo ear to it?
