I've decided to sell my old canondale road bike as I'm just not using it.  It's an old surplus team frame in blue and white with a carbon fork.  It has Ultegra gears but campag brakes.  The wheels are Gipemme techno 24 aero spoked wheels.  The tyres could do with replacing as they are a bit old and starting to show it (hairline cracking, not worn out!).  It has classic time pedals which I'll let go with it.  It's about 10 years old although hardly used / virtually new.

There really isn't a mark on it.  Always stored in the house.  Looking for 500 quid.

Dwarf sized, by the look of it. Nice spec though.

can't see on the pic. but expect to see 1 meter of saddle stem , seems it the fashion to deliberately run a frame size smaller

I'm alwasy confused as to where to measure.  Is it seat tube length or distance from bottom bracket to top tube?  I have 55cm in my head but I don't know why and would want to measure to check.

Measure from the centre of the axle to the top of the seat tube, probably need to lift the seat pin clamp to do that accurately.

That's 56cm. From axle to centre of top tube is 50 cm

56cm sounds right, I'm 6' dead and mine is 23", just more than 58cm.  The other measurement to the crossbar means nothing.  The distance from the crank axle centre, up the seat tube, to the top of the saddle should be inside leg less 9" and then adjust for comfort, move the saddle back or forward to get the centre of the knee directly above the pedal axle with the pedal at TDC, then put your elbow against the nose of the saddle and add 2.5" to your outstretched fingers to get the rough position of the bars.  Last thing, and very important, is to adjust the cleats to get your foot angle comfortable, the ball of the foot should be over the pedal axle.  Set it up like that and ride it for a few days and then start making small adjustments to get it comfy.  Having said all that, modern bikes with non parallel tubes and straight forks don't measure in the traditional way but some of the above still applies.

Just reread this and realised that I didn't make clear that the inside leg measure is from the crutch to the floor in socks and more importantly, the saddle should be adjusted with the pedal crank horizontal and forward, not at TDC!  Another measure is nose of the saddle 1.75" to 2.5" behind a vertical line up from the centre line of the crank axle.  Apologies to anyone who tried to adjust as above and is still in pain!

Given I still have this I'll assume it's too dear and say 400.
