Forged Engine, Is This A Good One?

Fully forged Z20LET engine.

 

 

Z20LET engine ONLY for sale built by Nortech Performance,

 

Wiseco 0.5mm oversize high compression Pistons, freshly re-bored and honed to suit new pistons work done by stanwood engine services.

Steel connecting rods with ARP connecting rod bolts,

Courtney sport balancing shaft delete kit, 

RnD Motorsport stem seal and retainer kit.

Helix Four paddle clutch

Brand new oil pump

Brand new water pump

New hydraulic lifters

Once the engine was completely built it was flushed with fresh oil and then Millers 10w40 mineral oil used to break the engine in.

After 1000 mile then oil and filter changed and from then on run on millers competition oil 10w40

All gaskets and bottom end bearings renewed for rebuild.

Engine covered roughly 4000 miles since rebuild, for sale due to my car been involved in a rear end smash therefore forces sale.

 

NOTE: Only engine included in sale 

Gearbox, manifold and turbo set up not included...

Wiseco pistons are cheapo and what steel rods? China's finest...? Always a gamble with 2nd hand engines, were going through the same questions with my mates Impreza trying to source another motor!

Also depends on how good the machinist was etc

Ring Nortech to validate it. Its worth nothing without some kind of provenance

It is a lottery buying these engines. As a bit of background, Nortech (which is a one man band of Jay) have a pretty good reputation now. I have an exhaust manifold of his on my car and it was well made. I expect this engine is one he built up himself for his own car, so likely to be a genuine attempt to build a good one, though this is no security that it actually is a good one. Try and get some videos of it running.
