I removed my door card today to attempt to adjust the windows and noticed that the foam is crack, it looks like one of the previous owners tried to fix it with glue. I've done a lot of research and have found gorilla glue. Does anyone have experience repairing the cracked foam door cards?

I'd be carefull using some glues on foam as they can just fizz and eat away at it upon contact. If it was me I would use a polyurethane based adhesive and put in some bracing accross the gap. Know any kids with a Meccano set you can raid bits from? Some of the flat metal pieces with holes along them and some small self tappers would be perfect. The door card sits on the higher circular protrusions so providing you keep any bracing below this height you should'nt have any clearance issues.

The door cards are PU foam so a PU adhesive would be perfect!

Could always try a bit of vinyl wrap over the cracked area to help strengthen it along with glue.

Thanks for the ideas, I've ordered some gorilla glue which is supposed to be good with foam. The vinyl is the current thing holding it all together so more vinyl sounds like a plan. I'm not sure my nephew would appreciate me stealing his meccano... He doesn't even like me stealing his Smarties! Greedy git! Lol
