Can someone remind me what the torque setting should be for the oil filter cap please? I've a feeling mines a bit tight and is likely to bring the sandwich plate ring with it. Figured I'd do a proper job and avoid any future seal swapping.

not that much, perhaps 20Nm

I would strongly advise you replace the O ring seal on the lid.

I have a few if you get stuck.

It is 25Nm for the cap and 120Nm for the ring according to the TIS.

As Vocky says replace the rubber o-ring. I thought one of the two sealing rings was leaking but after replacing the rubber o-ring I have no leaks. The old one felt very hard compaired to the new one it may have been original 😳 as the whole assembly used to come apart.

I did the same. Although the seal with the new filter was too big so cut a little section out and superglued the joint. Spot on now.

Sorry to hijack - where's the best place to get a filter with the o ring these days?

The o-ring only available separate I think as the ones that come with filters are too big for the vx220.
