I have not owned an RS model since 1996 and it looks like 2016 could be the year i get back in one. Going to try and get a first run build slot but looks like a lottery lol

Spec and price list came through today, wife test driving an ST on saturday to check she likes the Focus idea, will then put down a deposit and go into a lottery to see if we get a build slot in 2016.

A 'drift button' appeals and appalls in equal measure

every chav will want to pinch it.....

Flogged my old Sapphire Cosworth 4x4 because knobbers used to try and break into it every other night. Ended up having to rent a garage half a mile from home for my Escort Cosworth a few years later and then didn't dare leave it anywhere once I'd driven it somewhere. Would still rather have a decent RS over any piece of VXR junk that Vauxhall have ever made though.

I get that. Even now I look at a Cosworth and get knobbly knees. Even the one that is rotting on a driveway in one of Bradford's ghetto districts. A local Ford specialist by me has an original shell, engine and box for one of road-going Group B RS200s. He is slowly putting it back together, but at the rate he is getting there I'll be dead before he's finished.

Hopefully this new model will help the mk 2 RS depreciate to a level where I can afford to replace my daily with one. Preferably in bright green to help my mid life crisis. I had a good nosey around the new model at Goodwood this year. I would say that it will be epic to drive..... Jon

Like the look of this new model, much more grown up looking. Find the previous one way to chavved up for my liking.

If you're over 21, don't own a burberry cap or have less than 15 kids, then you're not allowed to own one.

I have owned all sorts of RS cars over the years and never had a problem with t leaves.

Doesnt looklike  there is a real vivid colour as its a world car not just for British lads, shame as i would have had the Green. Got to be the Blue as hopefully it will be like Mk1 Olympic Blue in the flesh :)

Anyway, it looks like chavs have moved onto Vauxhalls rather than Fords these days so should be safe.

Maybe they did, but Ford are targeting the Essex Chav brigade by incorporating the "drift control" setting😎😎 Looks a bloody good buy though👍👍👍
