Its not the fuse, so that's me stumped!

Switch? Check for power at the motor, 2 min job

need to getb a multi meter I guess, where is te relay for the wiper, under the r h side of the dash?

Martin, easy bit first is to check for power at the motor itself. Take of the plastic cover & you will see the connections. Use a 12v probe if you have one. Don't know off hand which connector is which but you should be able to figure it out with the probe. You can work backwards from there if there's no live feed when you switch the wipers on

Swap the relay with Lauren. Or get a VW one anyway if you don't have one. I may still have a standard relay somewhere. If still nothing then as paul says check for power at the motor. That will tell you if it's the motor or wiring/stalk.

I have power at the motor, so I'm guessing them motors dead. Ho hum.

Could be stuck, try moving the wiper arm by hand with the wipers switched on. But, even if it is stuck it's not a good sign😟😟

New motor installed (second hand one to be precise). Took about 40 mins thanks to the guide on here.

On occasion the original one can be dismantled, cleaned out and that repairs it.
