Hi all.
I have a brand new K&N 57i induction kit (part number 57-0392) for
the VX220. Purchased from www.filterpower.com
It is boxed with all the original parts, piping, etc...
Never opened.
Price new: £110
Offers in region of £80
Note: The K&N will NOT increase BHP output, but it WILL make a lovely
noise, it looks great and (some) suggest that it flattens the torque
curve a little (?).

Why not use it?

When i had the Regal upgrade fitted, they supplied a K&N. Since they did all the installation, etc i let them use the K&N that was supplied with the kit - hence the new K&N that is still sitting on my shelf.
I have a tendency to rush out and buy things before i think them through!

Ellie, is it the 57i Kit? If so I may be interested. I just read that you're going to the Essex elise run on the 29th. Could you bring it along?

No problem - i'll bring it with me on the run.

Hi,
I'm thinking of ordering a K&N filter kit for my VX the same or similar to that you recently sold - i'm not that mechanically orientated but not totally incompetent, and wanted to know how easy this kit is to put on the car?
Also there seems to be variations available i.e. just a replacement filter or a 'kit' which includes pipes and connectors etc as well as filters
Any advice before i order would be appreciated please
cheers,
Paulh

It is not very difficult, but if i were you i'd take it to a small garage, pay them £20 or so and let them do it for you. Make sure that you watch them - otherwise they may damage the car while jacking it up, or scratch the paintwork while attempting to access the engine bay.
K&N, Pipercross, etc are all excellent choices. But don't expect a hike in BHP.
Noise is amazing, though.

E.E
