I've been exchanging emails with Laurent, a VX220/speedster enthusiast who owns 12 of his own VX220s and has sold more than 90!

He has started making exhausts, addressing some gaps.

VX220 NA - sport sound (think VSE/Larini) but with track limits in mind.  Here's an example:

The exhaust comes in at 5 kg vs. the original of 12 kg

VX220 Turbo - addresses the muting effect of the turbocharger to make a proper sound. Another example

The exhaust comes in at 4.7 kg.

Everyone likes exhaust options, these look well made and are a pretty good price relative to well known alternatives. Laurent's website is www.sc42.net

That turbo one sounds good (for a tubby) i'd be interested in one if they're 3" pipes, any idea of the size?

I reckon you will be borderline passing a noise test.

My VXT Larini measured 101dB and that's got even less back box......

3" exhaust on a VXT here but always struggles to get over 92db on the static. Its practically silent on track

Larini is close to 1000 Euros with VAT. And difference in volume may be critical if you plan to track the car.

I suggest you contact him directly laurent.lambelin@free.fr

He has also said he can offer forum discounts. I don't know any more details than that.

Took the plunge and bought one of these for my Tubby..Took all day with having to drill out and re-tap the original 'U' bend and still not re-fitted the diffuser but had to take it for a short run just to see.....

Very pleased, a much better sound than the original but not too intrusive. I'd record it but it would be no different to those already linked earlier in this thread.

In all, so far at least a good alternative and much cheaper than I've seen. If there is a downside, it's that it uses the original 'U' bend so those wanting large bores for higher output will struggle. I had hoped to get to stage 1.5 - 2 myself but not sure that's achievable unless someone can tell me otherwise?
