How much are the rods. I wanted to fit a smaller pulley on the Eaton charger ~300bhp. Do I need to think about replacing any other engine components?

You will probably need cams also to get the car closer to 300 hp

You're getting into project snowball for an extra 40-50 bhp..

Rods, cams, maybe a little head work, exhaust, injectors, additional ECU mapping.. Then you may need to think about fuel pump and pistons, as both are being stretched at ~300bhp...

This is why you get very few running much above "stage 2"..

Does a stage 3 feel a lot faster, 40-50bhp doesn't sound like a massive amount, but I guess on such a light car you would notice the difference.

Yes it's considerably faster. Extra 20% power with no extra weight But yes it does get expensive but that never stopped me rallly But don't do it if you are worried about will I make my money back when I go to sell the car

Why new rods? The stock lsj/saab ones can take serious power... (check the GM sheet.)
